Surgenex SurSight Amniotic Biologics
SurSight by Surgenex is, in the manufacturer’s words, a dehydrated, minimally manipulated amniotic membrane allograft for homologous use, provided ready for use in ocular repair and reconstruction procedures. For the practice, it is an in-office membrane that stores at room temperature, requires no thawing, and applies bi-directionally so there’s no orientation guesswork. Its dehydrated single-layer amnion is, per Surgenex, minimally manipulated to retain the natural properties of the amniotic membrane and provides a protective covering to aid in ocular repair and reconstruction. For practices ready to add biologic therapy to a structured treatment ladder, SurSight removes the logistics that keep most clinics from stocking amniotic membrane.
